If you’ve been on Instagram at all in the last couple months, you’ve probably seen photos of the amazingly colorful Museum of Ice Cream. From giant gummy bears to delicious samples and wall art, I knew I had to get my hands on a ticket. Two computers and four tabs later, I scored some for the Los Angeles installment! Here are some of my favorite parts of the museum:
Can we just discuss this entrance for a second? As soon as you walk into the museum, you’re greeted by hot pink everything and ice cream samples of deliciousness. You’re directed in with your group of 10+ people and into a room full of telephones. You may even hear some famous voices on the other end if you listen closely 😉 Going in groups was actually a lot nicer than I expected since the rooms never really got too crowded and gave you lots of times for photos!
The next room was BANANAS…see what I did there? 😏 But really, who doesn’t love a whole room full of colorful hanging fruit? It led us directly into the next area sponsored by Lolli Swim which I love. With the perfect mix of colors, neon and fruit, this was one of my favorite rooms of the day just for its design.
*Drumroll please* THE SPRINKLE POOL! You’ve probably seen it all over Instagram and people throwing sprinkles all over the place. This was by far my favorite part of the day – I even found leftover sprinkles in my shoes 4 months later 😂 They do time how long you can play in the pool, but it was long enough to grab photos, boomerangs, snapchats, you name it! You also pass through a gummy bear room with even more samples and life sized candy.
If you’ve ever been to LA, you know just how much art there is here. From wall murals to art projects, they make for perfect photo spots…if you can find them 😉 We found this Rip n Dip mural in the alley right next to the Museum of Ice Cream while waiting in line! Then we made our way to Melrose Avenue which has some great art like these Colette Miller angel wings.
The Museum of Ice Cream was definitely one of the most fun days I’ve had roaming around Los Angeles. The LA spot has recently relocated, but they also have pop-ups in Miami and San Francisco. Tickets average around $35 and include free samples for dayzzzzz. If you don’t live in either of these locations, they’ll also be opening new spots this year! Check out their website to sign up for the newsletter and stay up to date with their openings 😎
Have you guys been to the Museum of Ice Cream yet??
